CLASSIC IMAGES - WHERE WE BEGAN ...
PaperWhimsy Classic Images have been a staple for collage and mixed media artists worldwide for over 20 years. These images were created using antique photos and software programs to digitally alter the photos to create new works of art.
We have an attic full of wonderful inspiration to share what artists have created with our images over the last two decades - lovely ideas that never get too old to enjoy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The links presented in our old blog posts, i.e. Inspiration Attic and Inspire Blog under our IDEAS tab, no longer work and many products promoted in these blog posts are no longer available through us. The artworks, however, still provide a wonderful resource of inspiration! And oh, clever you, you can figure out how to update these lovely ideas using our images (which are still available) with currently available products you can find through online sources or your local craft stores.
NEW ROMANTIC IMAGES - WHERE WE ARE NOW ...
Our newest collection of images, the New Romantics, are unique and one of a kind digital art creations incorporating several different software programs in the creation process. Starting with an idea put into words and utilizing digital art programs such as Photoshop, AI, Topaz, SnapArt, and OnOne coupled with incorporating Old Masters painting styles in the creation process and employing compositing and digital painting, altering and editing, each image is constructed from scratch by Gale Blair. The marriage of all these art programs brings to life a thrilling array of stunning images for artists to use in their mixed media artworks.

Our Images are available as download in PDF so you can print your own ~OR~ PRINTED by us and shipped to you.
If you have a photo printer you can get excellent prints because these images are a juicy 300dpi for optimal printing results. (PS our favorite paper is Epson Double Sided Matte Presentation Paper which prints beautifully on both Epson and Canon photo printers). Here are my personal PRINTING TIPS.
If you want us to print your images for you we use our favorite Epson paper and we print on our big Canon Pixma Pro-100 or Canon Pixma Pro-9000 printers with genuine Canon archival inks.
