What's With the Amazing Alterables™ Purchase Limits?

As many of you know, PaperWhimsy is a one-woman-show. I design and create all the items I sell.

And now for the minutiae. Prepare yourself to be bored.

My particular business logistics: I work from a small room in my little cottage that doesn't afford me any extra space to store and stash backup stock. Everything I cut is cut to order.

(Gonna get really boring, now)

Also, most of the Alterables I sell are made up of several components - for instance, when you purchase a Snoflinga that item is actually made up of three intricately cut components. When you purchase an Angel Reliquary that item is made up of 11 components. When you purchase a Curious Candlewick Stand that item is made up of five components. Each of the various components have to be cut to make the one whole thing.

It's not unusual for one unique order of just six Alterables to be made up of 15 to 60+ components. And all the patterns for those components need to be set up individually onto 12"x12" boards to feed into my laser.

There are a lot of unique moving parts for each order. I quickly discovered that not having limits was a recipe for disaster.

Hence, order limits. A collossally crazy idea for a business model. But, I had to come up with an idea that would allow me to continue selling Amazing Alterables™. And order limits was it. And I thank you so much for your patience and understanding!
