As many of you know, PaperWhimsy is a one-woman-show. I create all items I sell and manufacture them, as well. In particular, for Amazing Alterables™ this means that I not only design each Alterable I sell, I also set up and cut each Alterable you purchase and package them.
So a little info regarding my particular business logistics: I work from a small room in my little cottage that doesn't afford me any extra space to store and stash backup stock. Everything I cut is cut to order.
Also, most of the Alterables I sell are made up of several components - for instance, when you purchase a Snoflinga that item is actually made up of three intricately cut components. When you purchase an Angel Reliquary that item is made up of 11 components. When you purchase a Curious Candlewick Stand that item is made up of five components. Each of the various components have to be cut to make the one whole thing.

It's not unusual for one order of just six Alterables to be made up of anywhere from18-66 components. And all those components need to be set up individually into 12"x12" master patterns to feed to my laser. Imagine an order of 8, 10, 12, 16 different Alterables. Yikes! Not having limits was a recipe for disaster, quite frankly.
And seldom are orders identical. There are a lot of unique moving parts for each order.
So, for my own mental health I had to come up with a reasonable idea so I could continue down the path of selling Amazing Alterables™. And order limits was it. And I thank you so much for your patience and understanding!
